Tarrant County apartment fire kills one woman leaving fifty homeless.

Dallas, TX (AmericanInjuryNews.com)–The Waldemar Apartment community, located one block from a Haltom City fire department, caught fire late Sunday night. Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 4800 block on Waldemar Street at about 11 p.m. Sunday night. Callers to Tarrant County 911 dispatchers alerted the local fire station of the blaze.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the firemen were fighting flames in a first floor unit at Waldemar Apartment complex. They battled their way to the second floor to find a woman’s body. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office has confirmed a woman’s body was found in the fire. Her identity has not been released. Fifty residents of the Haltom City apartment complex were displaced. Investigating officials with the Haltom City police and fire departments report the Red Cross provided help to the 50 homeless residents and no one else was injured.
